How VAT Relief Works:

Eligibility for VAT Relief:
Individuals with disabilities or chronic medical conditions qualify for VAT relief. No registration with HM Revenue and Customs is required. Fill out the VAT Relief Form and refer to the HM Revenue and Customs website for detailed eligibility guidelines (Notice 701/7, August 2002).
Claiming on Behalf of Someone Else:
In cases where the disabled person cannot sign the declaration (e.g., children or those unable to write), signatures from a responsible person, such as a parent, guardian, or doctor, are acceptable. Ensure the person being claimed for meets the disability or chronic medical condition criteria outlined by HM Revenue and Customs.
